Simrad CS68 24-inch ECDIS
概述：
The Simrad CS68 is approved for use on all SOLAS ships and other vessels that must carry an ECDIS system.
Design & Configuration
A modern 24-inch, 16:9 widescreen with 1920 x 1080-pixel 'Full HD' resolution provides a larger usable chart area than traditional 4:3 or 5:4 displays. In a new or refitted bridge, moving to the 24-inch widescreen format offers clear advantages in chart visibility and ECDIS ease-of-use.
A fully integrated 'backpack' design combines ECDIS processor, NMEA0183 connectivity, and power supply with the display panel. This allows for easy, cost-effective setup whether in a new build or retrofit install, and helps to minimise ship downtime in the event a swap-out is required for service or maintenance.
Paperless Navigation with PLECDIS
CS68 is also offered in a cost effective PLECDIS package, where 2 ECDIS systems are networked together and enable ships to navigate without paper charts. PLECDIS will automatically synchronise routes and enable planning and navigation to occur at different locations on the ship.
Track Steering with Simrad AP80
The CS68 can be combined with a Simrad AP80 autopilot to form one of the most simple-to-install and cost-effective track steering systems on the market.
Track Steering requires at least one AP80 autopilot controller, and an AC80A, AC80S or AC85 autopilot computer. The CS68 ECDIS connects via an NMEA0183 cable and Simrad SI80 interface board, providing a simple single-point coupling between systems. On vessels with an existing Simrad AP80 autopilot system, this means minimal installation cost and complexity.
To enable Track Steering, an unlock key must be purchased from Navico.
AIS, ARPA and Radar Overlay
Combine CS68 with the optional Radar overlay module to provide the ship captain with AIS, ARPA and Radar targets drawn directly onto the chart providing the ultimate in situational awareness.
Controls
The CS68 ships with a standard keyboard and trackball, which form a simple and intuitive control scheme. Shortcut keys provide quick access to important functions, while the full keyboard allows for fast and accurate entry of navigational information such as coordinates, waypoint names and route names.
Existing Simrad ECDIS operators will find the new CS68's interface usefully familiar, allowing for an easy transition after upgrade.
Type specific training options
Type specific training is available in many formats, including web based (WBT), enhanced web based (EWBT) and class room courses, providing fleet owners flexibility to plan and execute effective training of crews.
Charting Options
The CS68 ECDIS system is designed to operate with Jeppesen Cartography, and also provides S-63 import capability for 3rd-party charts.
Jeppesen provides a type approved ENC SENC chart service, as well as a range of non-approved Professional+ charts. The CS68 ships with a recent set of all availble Jeppesen ENC and Professional+ charts on USB flash drive.

Licensing options
FlatFee: annual license for all ENCs in a specific region, or for worldwide coverage. This is the most predictable cost
OpenENC (Pay As You Sail): Jeppesen tracks vessel position and bills license fees as new ENCs are unlocked. Ideal for vessels that don't sail a static route
Manual license: The most economical option for vessels sailing a static route.
Choose fast import chart database (3 min) for your needs that meet the SOLAS carriage requirements and enables paperless navigation

JeppesenPrimar – Approved ENCs for CS68 ECDIS with additional charts in areas where no ENCs are available. High-quality vector charts are produced by Jeppesen. Worldwide coverage.
If SOLAS carriage requirements do not apply
Jeppesen Professional+ Worldwide coverage, Easy and flexible licenses. The ECDIS will operate as a navigational aid.
Chart updates can be installed online or by USB flash drive.
